The upper
floor houses various exhibits and old photographs of the
Annandale Community.
On October
15, 2015 we had the grand opening and ribbon cutting of
our Historical Library which is located on the second
floor.
This small
but very informative library was the undertaking of
Marilyn Gordon a long time member of the Park and a
Liberian before retiring. Marilyn has made this a legacy
to the Gordon family. This library is filled with
historical books that date back to the turn of the
century. It is located on the entire south wall upstairs.
This is not a lending library however everyone is welcome
to examine and glean the interesting history these rare
books provide.
An Indian
drum, arrow and spear points, and authentic Indian tools
and clothing are featured in the Native American
exhibit.
The lower
floor is used for meeting and a dining area. However, it
is interesting to take a peak at the framed tree
description and leaf samples on the walls since wood
paneling from 27 different kinds of Minnesota trees has
been used for wall coverings.
